Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Candidate will work with senior level team member within the WAS technical support team to include the system programming support, installation, configuration and maintenance of the Websphere environment on the zServer/z/OS platform. Additional duties include the evaluation and integration of new technologies; advanced support issues to insure high availability; coordination and communication; and coinsuring compliance with all policies, principles and directives. Qualifications/Requirements Minimum of 4 years Websphere Application Server experience with a bachelors degree OR 6 years Websphere Application Server experience At least 4 years experience within a Websphere Application Server (WAS) technical support team 4 years experience with evaluation and integration of new technologies within a WAS support environment Minimum of 4 years experience supporting WAS in a zserver (z/OS) environment Preferred (But not required) At least 4 years experience with WAS on multiple platform (mainframe and distributed) 4 years experience supporting MQ Series on multiple platforms Spherion Professional Services is a core business unit of Spherion Corporation (NYSE:SFN), which provides recruitment, outsourcing and technology services.
