POSITION SUMMARY

The Knowledge Management ( KM ) Senior Associate works in a centralized team to build Communities of Practice ( COPs ) within the KM organization in the United States The Senior Associate assists with the efforts in building and creating the methodology necessary for creating and operating COPs in the firm. POSITION SUMMARY



The Financial Systems Analyst performs routine maintenance on the firm's time and billing system, responds to basic data requests, participates in financial systems software upgrades and becomes a backup resource for the Financial Systems department. This position is based in Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

-Understand daily operations and integration of the enterprise applications.

-Perform routine maintenance on the firm's time and billing system.

-Use Query Analyzer for data extraction from the firm's various application databases.

-Use Excel at an intermediate level to provide reporting.

-Exposure to Microsoft Access database design.

-Assist project team during enterprise application upgrades.

-Contribute to and participate in initiatives to improve internal finance processes and related client services processes.

-Act as backup resource for other financial systems personnel.

-Readily adapt to changing priorities and demands.

Experience: QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

-Bachelors in Computer Science, Finance or Business or minimum of two years related business experience.

-At least one year of SQL experience with relational databases.

-Working knowledge of CMS software functionality and its underlying data tables a plus.

-Business experience in a professional services environment a plus.

-Basic understanding of technical infrastructure required for today's client server and web-deployed applications.

-Must have general understanding of accounting principles.

-Intermediate Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word.

-Beginner level Access skills.

Eight developers are required to work in the NY based Commodities Technology. The role will be focused on providing day to day solutions based on existing trading systems for Oil, Gas, and precious metal trading. Technical project managers to manage pieces of large data integration project for a merger. Must have strong project management experience. PMP preferred, but project experience is key.

This person will not be a change manager but rather a heads down project manager. Need ability to develop work breakdown structure types of project plans (effort based plans). Does not need Six Sigma. Enterprise initiative experience is a must.

Should have strong understanding of technical project management but does not need technical skills, PM skills more important than subject matter expertise. Need ability to manage multiple project managers within the program.



Must have strong facilitation skills with ability to manage remote teams. Must know full life cycle through testing and implementation. Will manage design sessions and make presentations to the team.



DESCRIPTION

Two projects: Developing the technical interface to obtain data from Client data marts- package data and import into the ECRIS environment- this will be a repeatable monthly process. Will interface with both the Organization and Client's business side but will not responsible for business processes.



The second is a large Basal II program which will be going on throughout 2008 to move data and reports into Basal. This is a large initiative that involves many areas.



This person manages mid-size technology projects that impact a multiple business lines and functions. Projects have: 1) major influence on the quality of data used for Top of The House reporting, 2) requires cross-divisional coordination, communication, influence and negotiation. The person is also responsible for analyzing present-state, developing alternative future-state approaches and facilitating implementation and the active involvement in the conduct/execution of project activities. Duties will include serving as primary contact to department managers for critical change initiatives. Typically 5 or more years of experience in project management preferred. Project management certification or equivalent experience preferred.
