Senior Unix Engineer in Chicago, IL

We do NOT accept 3rd party applications.Our Financial client in Chicago is seeking Senior Level Unix Engineering candidate must have experience building & integrating Enterprise Systems/Performance Management platforms. Main duties involve the design and implementation support for the integration of systems management platforms, application monitoring and reporting, Server/host monitoring, database monitoring, event correlation, agent plug-ins, SLA reporting, and response Scripting for notification and alerting. A focus on BMC's Patrol agent will be a priority. Engineering design & support for a Global Operations Center environment. Membership in relevant project committes and working groups. Work within a global engineering team responsible for all Distributed Systems firmwide.(OS/Hardware, Storage, DBs, etc)7 year in design, implementation & support of Enterprise Systems Management or Performance Management tools. This includes but not limited to: Server/Application Monitoring, Service Impact, Capacity, Performance, Configuration & Inventory Management experience. Solid background w/Unix/Linux platforms. Solid background and expertise with C/C , writing scripts with Perl, KSH, or BASH and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems. Bachelor Degree (EE/CIS/MIS)/(Advance degree a plus). Preferred Qualifications Admin and Engineering experience with BMC Patrol.
