SOA Engineering Consultant (2583)3 Months Contract in Chicago, IL 60601Local candidates and permanent residents only eligible for this role Job Description :-The qualified candidate will perform engineering, deployment and support activities on various SOA Technologies listed below.This candidate will be required to work well in a team environment.He/she must possess excellent communication skills and should be able to work in a collaborative environment with ease.Knowledge in the installation, configuration, maintenance and governance of Middleware/SOA technologies listed below is required.The candidate must have the ability to problem solve in a triage environment and perform root cause analysis using an analytical method.Requirements :-Strong communication skills – Ability to work with application developers, systems engineers and partners Required Skills :-Strong working knowledge (Minimum 2 to 3 Years) of at least one product in each of the following technology areas:UDDI Registry & Repository (HP Systinet)Federated SOA Governance Platform (HP Systinet)Diagnostics (HP Diagnostics)SOA Manager (HP)SOA Concepts (Exposure to Webservices)J2EE skills (EJB, Hibernate, Spring and JMS)XML Message Processing & TransformationStrong, hands-on experience with Web Services Technologies and Standards (specifically syntactical expertise SOAP, WSDL 1.1, WSDL 2.0, XML Schemas).Databases (Oracle)Application Servers (Weblogic and JBOSS)Platform – PA-Risc/AMD64, Unix (HP-UX) and/or Linux (SuSe/RedHat)Strong knowledge of scripting using Korn Shell Scripts, Perl etc.Optional Skills – Tibco Active Matrix, SOA Appliance Experience (IBM Data Power , VORDEL, Sonoa), WebSphere Message Broker, MQ Series, Tibco EMS or any JMS provider, BEA Tuxedo, JBOSS AS, Runway, DB2 Connect, Core Technologies (CTC) and Hardware Clustering (Veritas Clustering or MC/Service Guard).
