Responsibilities:
This role is to design, develop, and debug code in C# using an Oracle database. The project is to significantly enhance a compensation system and to add a new business channel's calculations and business rules into an enterprise system.

Qualifications:
- Must have at least three years of experience developing in C#/.Net.
- Must have at least seven years experience developing with Microsoft technologies
- Must have at least three years of experience working with Oracle databases.
- Must be able to understand moderately complex business specifications and publish a technical design.
- Must be able to lead 1-2 developers and review the quality of their work in addition to completing his/her own tasks.
- Must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to meet tight deadlines and work additional hours when necessary.
- Definite plus if the candidate has understanding of the financial industry, especially securities brokerage.

This person will function as an Informatica Subject Matter Expert (SME) and will focus on developing ETL solutions that will capture data from internal systems such as Informix and VSAM flat files and port that data over to the new UDB system. This data will support the Sales & Marketing organizations. The goal is to replace the consultants and to create an in-house expertise with Informatica. Utilize knowledge of data warehousing methodology and techniques to effectively meet the demands of this challenging area. Primary emphasis will be in the area of Data Warehouse and Decision Support Systems that focus on strategic, tactical, and operational business metrics. Design, develop, and implement ETL processes in a large data warehousing environment. Also responsible for new development initiatives, end-user support, and supporting this newly created production warehouse.
Experience: 1. Develops and maintains all SQL, Informatica procedure code within the Data Warehousing applications and implements these jobs utilizing Tidal as our job scheduling tool. This will include extract, transformation and loading (ETL) of the source data to the target data within the warehouse with processes in place to insure data integrity. 30%

2. Leads development team design effort with all levels of end users and with management. Oversees and coordinates the analysis and documentation of data flows, preliminary object model, logical data model and preliminary prototypes. This includes daily detailed coordination and orchestration of project development team efforts. Obtains appropriate signoffs from user community for these deliverables. The design of the warehouse will be through collaboration with the warehouse database administrator and the business units. 30%

3. Ensures all technical documentation is accurate, comprehensive, and current. Leads the data sourcing teams to deliver timely and accurate information to business users. Also partners with the owner of the metadata dictionary to maintain that central repository of information contained within the warehouse as well as the various business marts. 25%

4. Works independently or acts as technical leader and resource for the Strategic Projects department and technical staff. Coordinates developing application design specifications with business clients and IT staff, developing project task plans and schedules, and ensuring successful task completion. Leverages business and technical knowledge by participating in strategic planning at the project and departmental levels. This ensures adherence to overall department and AMA business goals.
