Responsibilities:
- Work in an effective and timely manner within Customer Service Center (CSC) IT Support Team and with the user community at the CSC.

- Advanced knowledge of Windows O/S technologies and environments, including Windows Server 2xxx, Windows XP (.NET) and Active Directory is required.
- Experience with OS/server builds, ghosting OS images and data archival/backup tools (Veritas Backup Exec) is a strong plus.
- Strong customer service skills and service-oriented attitude is required.
- Must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work in a diverse workforce environment.

eBusiness Product Manager in Chicago, IL
HSBC Retail Services provides private label credit programs for some of the world’s premier retailers, including Best Buy, Neiman Marcus, HP, Sony and Costco. The Retail Services eBusiness group guides Internet strategy and managers over 120 branded online application and customer care sites with over 3 million visits per month.
As an eBusiness Product Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies and initiatives in support of Retail Services eBusiness goals. Specifically, you will:
Develop strategies for and manage initiatives to maximize cost savings and revenue generation through our online customer care sites. Initiatives may include usability enhancements, new features, expanded marketing / cross-sell capabilities, etc.
Develop strategies for and manage initiatives to maximize online account and sales growth via our online application and pre-approval response sites. Initiatives may include new products, usability enhancements, etc.
Collaborate with account managers and merchant partners to develop and implement strategies that capitalize on opportunities within the online channel. Set and manage expectations for project timing and scope of platform enhancements.
Interface with Senior Management to build support for new Internet initiatives and major eBusiness product enhancements. Lead large cross-functional project teams to implement eBusiness initiatives and product enhancements.
Work with Business Development and Technology Teams to showcase and demonstrate eBusiness platform capabilities to prospective merchant partners.
Monitor and analyze Internet-related activities and trends, particularly as they relate to competitors, retailing and Financial Services, in order to identify opportunities to enhance our position in the marketplace.
Track key metrics for our eBusiness products, assessing results on a monthly basis to identify opportunities for improvement.

Network Administration / IT Lead Operations in Chicago, IL
Growing direct communications service bureau needs your help to keep our IT production resources running smoothly.
IT Operations is focused around high-integrity direct communications applications. These services are provided by laser imaging, direct mail and web services. This is provided by a Linux system grid and a fleet of centralized Xerox laser printing systems.
We are currently in two locations. The first is in the Greektown area of downtown Chicago. This facility is our headquarters with most activity located here. The computing grid consists of about 20 Linux systems. These systems include application servers, web servers, database servers and other appliance systems sharing various responsibilities such as DNS, email, etc.
The second larger location is in Bedford Park, Illinois. This facility is new to Sebis and is being developed to eventually take over many operations from the downtown facility.
This is a new position. Please be highly organized, have good writing skills and be an effective leader. Must be able to create new procedures and take them from an idea to full implementation. You will be a steward of all Sebis IT recourses, running any of our high-speed black and color Xerox laser systems in addition to supervising production operators.
Leadership Activities:
The current staffing level is 3 full-time operators in addition to this position.
-Consistently improve our documents, including procedures, best practices, department policies, etc.
-Provide scheduling, training and support to production operators.
-Provide affirmative and effective control and enforcement of production operations work practices and procedures.
-Review operators annually.
-Hire new operators. Discipline operators, if necessary.
-Provide performance metrics regarding productivity.
-Be an effective change manager as technologies, products and services shift.
-Be very process and procedure oriented.
Technical Activities:
The following is an outline of technical skills and activities essential to this position:
-Be very knowledgeable in Linux system administration including network administration. Provide accurate schedule management of yourself and the other operators. Arrange and post schedules. Assist and lead in the administration of the network. Be able to configure web servers, DNS, switches, firewalls, VPN,VOIP phone systems, security systems, access control systems and other systems as technologies and needs dictate. Administrate backups including regular testing and offsite storage of media.
-Administrate our NCOA Link system. This system requires weekly updates and occasional upgrades.
-Monitor network activity, administer and monitor intrusion alerts, failover of systems, etc.
-Create and administrate appliance Linux systems such as VOIP phones, camera surveillance and security systems.
-Administrate and update our grid of Linux systems.
-Be able to respond to occasional problems, power outages, production operator questions during your off hours.
-Possess solid knowledge of PC hardware.
-Have experience with high-speed laser imaging (black and/or color) or similar high-speed output devices.
