HSBC Retail Services provides private label credit programs for some of the world’s premier retailers, including Best Buy, Neiman Marcus, HP, Sony and Costco. The Retail Services eBusiness group guides Internet strategy and managers over 120 branded online application and customer care sites with over 3 million visits per month.



As an eBusiness Product Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies and initiatives in support of Retail Services eBusiness goals. Specifically, you will:



Develop strategies for and manage initiatives to maximize cost savings and revenue generation through our online customer care sites. Initiatives may include usability enhancements, new features, expanded marketing / cross-sell capabilities, etc.



Develop strategies for and manage initiatives to maximize online account and sales growth via our online application and pre-approval response sites. Initiatives may include new products, usability enhancements, etc.



Collaborate with account managers and merchant partners to develop and implement strategies that capitalize on opportunities within the online channel. Set and manage expectations for project timing and scope of platform enhancements.



Interface with Senior Management to build support for new Internet initiatives and major eBusiness product enhancements. Lead large cross-functional project teams to implement eBusiness initiatives and product enhancements.



Work with Business Development and Technology Teams to showcase and demonstrate eBusiness platform capabilities to prospective merchant partners.



Monitor and analyze Internet-related activities and trends, particularly as they relate to competitors, retailing and Financial Services, in order to identify opportunities to enhance our position in the marketplace.



Track key metrics for our eBusiness products, assessing results on a monthly basis to identify opportunities for improvement.



Help establish and communicate eBusiness best practices and policies across the Retail Services organization. . Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years combined experience in eBusiness, consulting, marketing or similar discipline
  • Business project management skills required
  • Experience in product management, strategic planning or online marketing a plus
  • Must be organized, team-oriented, and adept at balancing strategic and tactical thinking, with excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional teams towards delivering against shared goals
