Job Summary
The Quality Management Lead is accountable for the tailored framework (methods, processes, procedures, templates, samples, and training) to enable the work effort’s success throughout the lifecycle. The Quality Management Lead serves as the consultant to the work effort’s Program PRT / Enhancement RRT in ensuring that the Quality Strategies and Plans are addressing the right work effort risk and assuring that the Quality Plan is being executed and controlled.
Manages and coordinates the staff and activities of a business unit which provides project management processes, standards, support and tools. Manages the relationships and acts as liaison between the functional teams, business unit leadership, and other stakeholders throughout the program and project cycle. Develops an implementation approach and methodology for execution of the business strategy and manages implementation.

Activities/Functions:


Tailors standards and best practices (including methodologies, processes, procedures, approaches, samples, templates, tools) from CNA’s process asset library and industry into the working practices of the work effort
Ensures that the Quality Management Strategy and Plan is tailored to the appropriate level to provide the highest level of value for the work effort at the appropriate level of cost, while addressing the risk of the work effort. Provides Quality Strategies and Plans based on enterprise lessons learned and best practices.
Develops proposed improvement plans to product, process, and resource quality gaps for alignment and action, via After Action Reviews, Quality Reviews, and Quality Metrics

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Qualifications:

Graduate Degree / MBA in business and/or Information Technology is preferred
Total experience: 10+ years of both consulting and general industry experience in Software Engineering practices with approximately 5-6 years specific to Software Engineering Quality
Extensive and up-to-date knowledge of quality management challenges, trends, and leading practices
High competency of written and verbal communication, influencing, presentation, and listening skills in order to interact with executive leadership
Knowledge of industry standards such as: ISO9001, COBIT, CMMi, ITIL.

We are seeking assistance with our migration from our E*Gate environment to Intersystem's Ensemble product. We will be working closely with our Intersystem's representative to provide initial installation guidance and product training. We are looking for a partner that has worked with Ensemble in at least a few different Hospital environments to help facilitate an independent view of at least the following: · Architectural review - review architecture and configurations making recommendations for improvements and optimization. We are planning a clustered production environment (2 Sun M4000 servers) with a DR site several blocks away at our backup datacenter (Sun server). · Help design common error handling and other monitoring functions to support maintainable production interfaces · Mentor our development team (5 Developers) on best practices of design, coding, unit testing. The goal would be that our developers would do the bulk of the actual development with assistance and guidance from the experienced partner. · Perform code reviews and make suggestions for improvements on utilization of the Ensemble product · Relate best practices on production operational monitoring procedures · Assist in planning and review of results from load, High Availability and DR testing · Initial production support at our go-live Although we currently support over 100 real-time HL-7 interfaces and 500 FTP file transmissions we are planning phased implementation. We are currently looking breaking our HL-7 Interfaces into 4 phases and the 5th being our batch FTP file interfaces. Our initial go-live will consist of migration of about a dozen existing interface from egate to ensemble and the creation of one or two new ones (new projects).
