Senior Remedy Applications Developer



Position Description:



The successful candidate will be assigned duties related to application design, development, integration, and testing. This position will entail developing business solutions as well as supporting the Remedy infrastructure.



Preference will be given to senior level candidates with 5+ years of Remedy development experience as well as in-depth knowledge of the ITSM 7X application suite, most notably Service Desk. This is a one year contract position with the possibility of contract extension or full time employment.



Responsibilities Include:



- Enhancing and customizing Remedy ITSM 7X applications in addition to in-house developed applications from business requirements and/or technical design documents in accordance with prescribed development guidelines



- Supporting the Remedy infrastructure, including performance tuning, moderately complex interactive integrations with network monitoring tools, and the installation of Remedy software/patches/applications as needed



- Develop and execute unit, system, integration and user tests to ensure system performance and quality meets operational and business objectives



- Creating all necessary documentation and user guides related to application enhancements and development



Required Skills:



- 5 + years of development experience with ARS 6.X and/or 7.X



- Implementation experience with the ITSM 7X application suite in large scale enterprise environments



- Experienced in software development life cycle (SDLC) including Requirements Analysis, Design, Installation, Development, Testing (application code and user acceptance), Deployment, experienced in training other developers and trainers, and maintenance (performance monitoring & proactive problem solving)



- Familiarity with Solaris, Apache Tomcat, JavaScript, Java, and similar server-side environments is desired



- Experience with LANDesk Management Suite, SMARTS InCharge, or BMC Software Patrol a plus



- Strong interpersonal and communications skills and an ability to understand and articulate complex ideas and concepts in both verbal and written form
