Role: The Senior Sales Consultant works with the US sales team to provide support for the functional and technical aspects of the sales cycle, including: discovery sessions and requirements gathering; configuring, preparing, and demonstrating our Software products; conducting and managing Proof of Value activities and providing additional support to Account Executives to move the sales cycle along.As a Senior Sales Consultant you will be responsible for providing presales technical / functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction with minimal supervision. With a proven track record of successful sales support activity, the Senior Sales Consultant will present and articulate the Software advanced product features and value, product future direction and the overall Software solution. He/she will work with Account Executives to qualify opportunities and convert leads into successful deals. The Senior Sales Consultant will also work with Account Executives to develop and manage reference sites through high quality technical, and professional client relationships. He/She will act as a technical resource for less experienced Account Executives and Presales Consultants. With direct feedback from the field, the Senior Sales Consultant will work with Account Executives and the marketing team to develop and deliver high quality standard Software presentations and demonstrations. The preferred candidate will have experience with developing applications and the system development life cycle in a project management, consulting, pre-sales or similar role, and be fully conversant with and experienced in at least one recognized sales methodology, ideally Solution Selling©. Competencies:. Bachelors Degree required (technical major desirable); Masters Degree a plus. . Minimum 5 years of software development experience (developer, system analyst, technical project management). Solid knowledge of System Development Life Cycle concepts and software development iterative and non-iterative development models. Familiarity with the CMMI model is a plus . 3+ years experience with successful software presales support. Ability to present and establish value of the our Software Technical Foundation and. business proposition for large groups and executives . Strong organizational and time management skills . Must be customer focused and have the ability to manage and resolve solutions to complex technical issues . Ability to travel 50% throughout North America as required . Ensure software proposal meets customer business requirements . Proven ability to gain cooperation of others, proven leadership skills . Excellent oral and written communication skills, outstanding presentation and interpersonal skills, and ability to interface to senior levels of an organization is required. . Highly motivated, hands on personality. . Ability to multitask and work independently toward stated business goals. Compensation: Commensurate with prior experience, a base salary and highly competitive on-target earnings bonus will be offered in addition to stock options.
