SUMMARY
Performs as a Project Manager on medium to large firm wide projects, which may include: initiating and defining, planning, executing, controlling, and closing the project life cycle.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops detailed project deliverables including project definition, documentation of roles and responsibilities, quantifiable project objectives, project schedule, and resource requirements.

Responsible for execution and maintenance of project plans for medium to large projects.

Performs Benefit/Cost Analysis.

Leads teams to identify activities required to produce a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).

Produces estimates for PM activities and coordinates estimates for non PM activities.

Creates effective project communication plans.

Risk management - identifies project risks, estimates probability and impact, responds with alternatives and contingency plans, monitors project risks.

Performs integrated change control activities.

Insures Quality Assurance activities are scheduled and performed.

Works with the Business Analyst or works independently to identify business requirements and project quality standards.

Practices and promotes effective requirement management techniques.

Maintains configuration control of all work documents.

Functions as a liaison with line managers and other organizational groups.

Promotes and implements standardized processes.

Oversees/reviews technical approaches and assesses alternative solutions.

Works effectively with IT to identify systems, networking and equipment needs/requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills.

Demonstrates high quality oral and written communication skills.

Demonstrates the ability to work well under pressures of time and people.

Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.

Builds relationships and coordinates efforts with individuals across multiple business units to meet the common objectives of managed projects.

Assists the PMO in improving project management procedures and processes.

Maintains and extends knowledge of the project management techniques through available training and self-study.

Assists in developing less experienced project managers as the opportunity arises.

EDUCATION and CERTIFICATION
Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Information Systems, or related field.

Minimum 7 years experience in project management and/or business consulting.

PMP certification a plus.
