Job Summary:
At Sapient, a Senior Associate of Business Consulting develops innovative strategies to improve business performance. This individual will work on a broad range of projects to develop business, operating, and IT strategies. The focus of their work includes three key areas:

1. Business Problem Solving - Take ambiguous and complex business problems and using research and business assessment capabilities, define the problem, drive innovative ideas, define the opportunity set, and recommend actionable next steps.
2. Informed Business Decision Making - Bring rigor a client's decision making process by performing detailed cost/benefit analysis, presenting and evaluating solution options, and driving consensus among key stakeholders. In some instances, we help our clients develop new decision frameworks and governance processes that continue to deliver value far beyond a particular engagement.
3. Solution Planning - Define, scope and plan new solutions for clients. This includes determining how to measure business results, modeling current/future business processes, gathering business requirements, and identifying the organizational changes required to successfully realize the benefits of the solution.

The Senior Associate, Business Consulting will also be expected to participate in both sales pursuits and sales strategies, and to support structuring of complex, long-term contracts with clients and partners.

Responsibilities:
In this highly visible position as a Business Analyst on an online development team, you will assist the business teams in defining requirements and delivering solutions for various web based properties for client websites and intranet sites. The projects that you will participate in will drive improved customer satisfaction, foster better communications with both internal and external customers, and will deliver significant value to the client and its customers.
Responsibilities encompass the maintenance of project plans, requirements documentation, aiding internal clients, anticipating the need for new technologies and assisting in the development and execution of overall SharePoint strategy for clients.
Analyze end user needs and work with process analysts to develop SharePoint solutions to increase efficiency, streamline processes and increase collaboration.
Develop and document the business requirements, design specs, prepare test plans and perform post migration quality assurance that encompass all aspects of supporting the SharePoint initiative.
Leads business teams and cross-competency teams completing tasks related to business solution planning, business case development, documenting and managing customer requirements throughout the development lifecycle. This includes requirements definition, requirements analysis, process analysis, requirements change management, use case and business process modeling, logical system design and high level estimating.
Works collaboratively with business representatives, Project Management and varied IS teams to develop and implement the specific technology and architecture necessary to deliver business solutions.
Lead or mentor non Business Analyst team members to perform Business Analyst functions.
Assist in determining and documenting project definition, requirement, use case and business process documents.
Assist in determining the best solution for the issue being addressed.
Contribute to the business case development.
Where appropriate, business liaison on day-to-day business needs and production support.

Experience Guidelines:
4 – 6 years of successful business analysis and project management experience; specifically leading dynamic cross-competency teams using a structured project methodology.
Must have 2+ years experience working in the Microsoft SharePoint Services (MOSS) 2007 and 2003 with a concentration in designing IT applications.
2 - 5 years experience designing portals and/or web sites.
ECM (Enterprise Content Management) experience.
Ability to understand SharePoint from a business and functionality perspective.
Experience with MOSS Tools: Search, Forms Services, Excel Services, BDC.
3 – 5 years experience in a methodology lifecycle - including business planning, data analysis, process analysis and design, business and functional requirements analysis, use case analysis, system design, development, testing, and implementation.
Ability to bridge communication amongst technical and non-technical project staff and customers.
Ability to build client relationships and create client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Excellent reasoning and strong decision making skills. Has strong risk assessment, negotiation and problem resolution skills.
Ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
Creativity with an eye to developing new and innovative solutions.
Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to create & deliver clear, powerful & concise presentations/proposals.
Highly proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
Significant travel may be required as much of the work is done at the client site.

Education:
4-year Bachelor's degree is required. MBA is preferred, but not mandatory
