Web Interface Designer --- Contract to hire!! in CHICAGO, IL

As Web/Interface Designer, you will be responsible for designing highly usable, best-in-class web interfaces and user experience architecture, leveraging knowledge of usability best practices and the competitive landscape. You will be focused on continually improving our various web sites and experience to meet the needs of our growing customer base and drive high levels of customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities include:
• Designs website interfaces for our client/partners that reflect their brands, and for our B2C environments (front end)
• Rapidly model wire frame prototypes, translating business objectives and feature requirements into highly usable web page designs
• Create innovative web pages, “landing pages”, html emails, other online promotions
• Effectively collaborate with business, marketing, technical, and operational teams to develop requirements, prioritize enhancements, and drive projects to completion
• Evaluate and implement lessons learned from usability testing into website enhancements
• Utilize website analytics to drive design approach
• Champion design and usability as a core component of our brand presence and customer experience
• Assessment of current sites, market UI trends, and best practices

Experience: Key Skills and Experience:
• Passionate about great products and user experience
• Expert level background in consumer-centric web usability and graphic design
• Expert in HTML and CSS technologies, ASP, JavaScript and Flash experience a plus
• Experience in e-commerce
• Ability to “talk tech” and interface with backend developers
• Strong graphics application knowledge including: Photoshop and Illustrator
• Extremely detail oriented
• Must have excellent oral and written communications skills
• Ability to back up your opinions with data and clear supporting exhibits
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic start-up environment a must
• A minimum of 4 years professional experience designing and developing interactive media or graphical user interfaces
• Fun, energetic, flexible personality
•Degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or related fields
