DUTIES: You will be responsible for: (1) Full Systems Life Cycle (FSLC) programming of mission-critical, customer facing applications; (2) Technical design, integration, and intimate interaction with architecture teams to ensure that authored design documentation's integrity is not compromised, and adhered to completely; (3) Active participation in peer review sessions throughout design and development cycles; (4) Documenting design, deliverables, source, and release notes in support of future development and operational needs; (5) Collaboration with QA (Quality Assurance) to proactively deal with identification, isolation, and remediation issues during formal QA cycles; (6) Continuously improving, refining, and refactoring of developed software; (7) Working with management to identify areas of improvement within the development and supporting teams, and working as a change agent to provide ideas for improved development and implementation; (8) Validation of requirements to eliminate ambiguity and inconsistency; (9) Working with management to develop estimate and project plans.
Experience: REQUIRED:7 years of STRONG/CURRENT programming in J2EE, Java 2, Spring, Struts, Servlets, JSF, Hibernate.MUST have at least 3 years of STRONG/CURRENT development experience with IBM Websphere Portal Server and IBM Websphere Process Server.MUST have a minimum of 7 years of STRONG/CURRENT web development and enterprise-scale J2EE design and implementation, including portal technology.MUST have excellent troubleshooting skills and EXCELLENT written and verbal communication skills.MUST be willing and able to domain expertise, and mentor less technical staff.Pluses:Web services (i.e. SOAP, WSDL, REST, or similar); Service Oriented Architecture.No PHONE CALLS please!
