Duration: 6 months Description: As a NDM technician you will join the File and Automation team to deliver quality file transmission solutions based on business needs. You will be part of a team of other file transmission resources which provides both implementations work and 3rd level support for issues that production support teams require assistance on. You will take direction from the transmission lead. Responsibilities " Reviewing work queue for new Control M/NDM request or enhancements. " Assuring requirements attached are sufficient and if not providing feedback back to client what additional requirements are necessary to complete the activity. " Reviewing the request and required dates to either accept or provide back a date when the request can be accommodated. " Creating and testing Control M ./NDM jobs are setup correctly is in Non Prod environments before migrating to production. " Responsible for peer reviews of Control M NDM jobs to ensure it meets requirements. " Reviewing Incident queue for incident tickets requiring Control M/NDM team involvement. " Working with production support team to provide necessary information to document change to resolve issues. " Update required documentation for Control M/NDM jobs " Creating a test transmission and sending to internal teams to validate transmission is setup successfully. Qualifications " Hands on experience with NDM/Connect Direct 4.1 and 4.4 on Windows and Unix " Experience in Visual Basic Scripting, Unix Shell Scripting and Windows Batch scripting " Hands on experience on Unix system support and Network system support (Mid level) " Hands on experience on file transmissions using FTP, SFTP/SSH " Experience in using BMC Control-M for enterprise batch scheduling 6.1.03/6.2.01/6.3/6.4 ( any one of the them ) " Experience in integrating Batch scheduling and file transmissions using BMC Control-M and NDM " Knowledge and/or experience in Data center moves. " Proficient in Documentation " Must be a team player and be proactive and bring ideas to the table " Must have good communication skills. " A minimum of 3-4 years of experience with NDM. " Ability to create new jobs in Control M on Windows and Unix platforms (not mainframe). " Ability to use/create Control-M calendars according to scheduling requirements " Ability to pass parameters to a Control M job (Auto edit/set variables) " Ability to create Alerts/post processing according to requirements. " Ability to create job dependencies " Experience with the Control M desktop and Enterprise Console (different versions). " Experience with how to troubleshoot and interpret sysout logs for control M issues " Solid understanding of the Windows and Unix environments " Understanding of file watcher, AFT and File transmission process. " Minimum 4 years experience with Control M " Experience with data center migration projects using Control-M is a plus " Knowledge on FTP/SFTP is a plus.
