This individual will have accountability to management to deliver an operational desktop environment to 1000 users who will relocate to downtown Chicago. The Desktop Project Manager will manage an SME and a team of implementers/installers who are responsible for procuring, installing, testing and end user set-up of the desktops in various facilities. Key Accountabilities: Build a strong desktop implementation team and provide overall team leadership and guidance. Follow internal Project Management methodologies, typically (but not exclusively) in the range of $1m to $10m. Collaborate with teams to establish MAC (Moves Adds Changes) processes for the project, including re-stack processes, training and sequenced move schedules. Work with relevant managers to design and deliver flawless and detailed operating handover documents for multiple IT Service Desks. Report progress via weekly status reports. Key Role Accountabilities: Build and coordinate application architecture to support business/analytical requirements to ensure data quality Analyze data contained in source/target databases and identify cross-system data integrity issues and identify business rules to build applicable queries and processes Produce technical procedures and documentation for the applications including operations, user guide, training materials, etc Understand technical issues and identify architecture and code modifications needed to support changing user requirements for multiple DMO applications Manage gathering of business requirements to support build of DMO applications Provides assistance and advice to business users in the effective use of applications and information systems Responsible for the management and strategy of maintaining DMO application environment; ensuring environment structure meets best practice Build out data entry screens and reporting functionality for Meta Data Repository using industry best practices Required: .NET C# Excel SQL Server T-SQL Desired: Required Qualifications: Role Requirements: Minimum of 7 years of technology experience with at least 5 years development/hands-on technical roles in the field and relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals Knowledge of data architecture and data integration processes using multiple vendor specific packages Experience working with Master Data in SAP Technical experience with database technologies, database programming, Web application development, and user support Strong background in Database architecture and administration using Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or equivalent Background in Microsoft .NET, C#, Java, T-SQL, PL/SQL, Excel Proven Project Management experience through the entire SDLC Strong analytical and problem solving skills Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities Proven ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment, in a high pressure on-call environment with changing priorities Acceptance and willingness to work outside of normal business hours Results oriented individual who thrives working in a fast paced environment Exhibit a strong 'can-do', 'will-do' attitude and strong sense of urgency in meeting deadlines Assist in establishing and maintaining a strong relationship with business partners and manage expectations Deliver presentations to a variety of audience levels, gaining experience through leading meetings and preparing and giving group presentations Consistently follows problems to a timely resolution and appropriately escalates issues to appropriate level Adjusts work assignments and schedule to meet changing priorities for self and others; adjusts to multiple demands/priorities focusing on the big picture Demonstrates 'out of the box' thinking when confronted with new ideas or change.
