DescriptionOur client, one of the largest commercial, property & casualty insurers in the US, is seeking a highly skilled executive with broad IT experience to lead the organization transition defined in our IT Transformation program. Type of position: ContractLocation: Chicago, ILStart: ASAP - 3/1 ClientEnd: March 31, 2011This person will integrate, oversee, and ensure progress of highly complex tracts of work within the program including supervising 3-4 program leads over the tracts. Tracts include Managed Services Transition, Lean IT, Infrastructure Optimization, Architecture Roadmap, Business Demand Prioritization and Governance, and Organizational Design. The incumbent will be accountable for positive outcomes in transition management, process readiness, partner integration, deployment planning, and change management. Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesLead and direct multiple integrated and complex tracts of work including managing risks and budget. Directs the work activities and has full management responsibility for the performance of subordinate staff. Applies effective project management methodologies and control techniques. Coaches subordinate resources in project/program management best practices. Reviews and evaluates project plans and objectives. Tracks program progress with respect to time, budget and demonstrated results. Communicates progress to senior management. Reporting RelationshipVice President, Business Management Office Education & ExperienceSignificant experience leading transition of organizational operating models, specifically managed services, multi-sourced or outsourced models. Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. Minimum of fifteen years of diverse IT experience in multiple areas of technology. Broad program management experience leading multi-tract projects in the range of $15-20M. Project Management Professional certification.
