Description:
QA analyst will be responsible for complex & highly integrated software
systems that are internally developed. Requirements or use cases may be
basic or advanced. Analyst must be very experienced at deriving testable
requirements rapidly under less than ideal conditions. Analyst must be very
experienced at developing test strategies, detailed test plans, test cases,
test data, test coverage, and reporting status. Experience with a formal QA
methodology is required, along with experience determining what to optimize
for an aggressive schedule without violating the integrity of a test.
Ability to prioritize and multi task is critical. Ability to work in a team
environment among others with multiple competing priorities is critical.
Ability to be flexible with schedule is critical. While this is billed a 40
hour position, overtime is a possibility as well as weekend work.

Position: SQL DBA
Location: Chicago IL

Required Skills: SQL SERVER 2005, SYBASE 11.X, SYBASE 12.X, SQL SERVER MIGRATION ASSISTANT (SSMA)

- Expert level DBA skills in SQL Server 2005 and Sybase 11.x & 12.x

- High level proficiency with Microsoft SSMA tool for automating migration between Sybase and SQL Server

Job Description
Under technical direction, analyzes client area requirements and processes, prepares application system specifications, and programs automated solutions or integrates applications to resolve business problems. Maintains centrally developed systems. The focus of this position will be designing or developing business applications and/or designing or developing alternative solutions.
Duties
Develop, create and modify specialized utility programs, automated solutions and integrated applications. Maintain centrally developed systems. Code a Series-3 based underwriting application. Perform defect incident management using PeopleSoft. Use JAVA.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
1. Evaluates defined client area requirements and processes (e.g., new enhancements or maintenance) and detailed designs and develops moderate to complex application program solutions.
2.Assists with the high level design of solutions. Consults with the client area to analyze system requirements and capabilities, identify associated risks, and resolve problems. May act as a liaison between clients and applications area.
3. In conjunction with operations area technical staff, supports the implementation of the application into production and testing environments. May confer with technical personnel to identify and resolve issues.
Mon-Fri., 8:30am to 4:45pm, $80,000 per year; overtime exempt.
Additional Responsibilities
1. Performs other essential duties as assigned.Education & Experience

Bachelor's in Computer Science or Engineering
Four years of experience in position or related field
Will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience.
Experience must include:

(1) coding a Series-3 based underwriting application,
(2) JAVA,
