Responsibilities:

The incumbent of this position will:
? Develop an understanding of clients? environment and consistently cross-sell Berbee services.
? Assist with pre-sales process, develop proposals, and develop technical documentation.
? Provide billable engineering services at client locations to fulfill contract specifications.
? Instruct, help develop and mentor less-seasoned technical staff when appropriate.
? Plan, coordinate, and implement storage systems and related software.
? Plan and implement system upgrades, ensuring change management procedures and methodologies are implemented and followed.
? Recommend purchase of products or services necessary to support the test and production operating environments.
? Monitor multiple project priorities and ensures that appropriate management is apprised of the operation status of projects.
? Provides business and technical consultation and support to clients, project managers, product developers, users and other technical units.
? Develop an education plan to grow skills consistent with client needs.


Qualifications:


? Five years of AIX administration, including Logical Paritioning (LPAR) using the IBM Hardware Management console is required.
? Three years of AIX performance tuning and troubleshooting is required.
? Proficiency with RedHat Enterprise or SUSE Linux is required.
? SAN: Experience with Cisco, McData or Brocade fabrics is desired.
? Experience with Tivoli Storage Manager server and client administration is desired
? Knowledge of EMC, IBM, Hitachi or NetApp SAN Storage is desired.
? Solid understanding of networking and distributed computing concepts, including the principles of network routing and client/server programming.
? Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline; equivalent experience acceptable.
? Strong interpersonal and presentation skills including consulting skills.
? Ability to travel up to 50% as needed.
? Strong oral and written communication skills.
