HSBC is looking for a skilled Developer/Support Specialist to help build, maintain, and consult upon its suite of CRM technologies. This individual will be responsible for supporting web-based marketing and analytics leveraging ePiphany, WebTrends in addition to inbound, outbound, and encrypted email/SMS campaigns leveraging Kana and PostX.



Along with support responsibilities; project management, consulting and implementation expertise are required throughout the project lifecycle. Other responsibilities include working directly with the HSBC business and technical teams to gather and analyze business requirements, scope estimates, develop detailed project plans, design and develop solutions, test, provide project status updates, coordinate technical resources and deploy ePiphany, Webtrends and Kana systems. Provide 12/7 production support, including support for resolving bugs, enhancing existing solutions, and ensuring that systems are functioning properly. Responsible for tracking and ensuring that the systems are meeting SLA. Support integration activities with other online and offline enterprise systems. Work as a liaison with technical resources in support of data administration, database administration, hardware, software, and network administration. Manage and schedule maintenance and application upgrades. Analyze, propose, and design solutions for data cleansing and transformations. Participate in obtaining project cost estimates and budget projections relating to e-mail technology enhancements and additional license purchasing. Participate in the evaluation and selection of additional software products. Train additional support staff when needed. Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Business supplemented by technical course work or Bachelor’s Degree with an MIS emphasis, Mathematics/Statistics, Engineering, or other related field
  • Extensive knowledge along with three to five years proven and progressive experience in development, support and implementations of ePiphany, WebTrends, Kana Connect, Kana Response and Informatica
  • Required experience with Solaris, Java, JavaScript, TCP /IP, HTTP, POP, SMTP, DNS, HTML, XML, XSLT, DB2, Oracle, and SQL
  • Knowledge and experience in data integration is a requirement
  • Knowledge of SPAM, e-mail technologies/processes, Crystal Reports and CommuniGate Pro are a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to develop cohesive working relationships with business users, technical team members while clearly presenting complex business and technical topics
  • Extensive knowledge of project management, businesses supported, and industry trends
  • Strongly prefer banking or credit cards industry and finance function experience
  • Experience with other CRM tools is a plus
