PeopleSoft Functional Lead (PFL)

Responsible for understanding the overall business solution, business case, gathering business requirements, developing functional design specifications for the PeopleSoft modules. This individual must be an expert on PeopleSoft application and all of the functional architecture to ensure that there will be no 'gaps' in the solution and that all of the functional designs are complete. The individual must have experience with dealing off-shore centers specific to PeopleSoft implementation and is accountable to the overall delivery of the functional workplan.

Expert in the Peoplesoft development environment, navigating through PeopleSoft applications, web pages, PeopleSoft panels, PeopleTools, Migration of Projects, PeopleCode, SQR and Application Engine. Responsible for regulating and facilitating business interview and JAD sessions with the business user community efforts by working with GSK co-lead.

This individual will predominantly play a support role during the build phase by assisting technical developers and programmers to translate functional designs to technical designs and making sure that the application being developed exactly meets the business needs. In addition, as needed, this individual will play a support in analyzing defects impacting functional change during the system test phase.

Support Responsibilities
-- Define the business solutions and structures needed to realize these opportunities.
-- Work with the other business architects to explore specific solutions and define the scope of the project.
-- Help define the performance goals and metrics for the proposed solution.
-- Review prototypes, solution blueprints, and project scope to ensure that the needs of the business are being met.
-- Serve as liaison to the business community, to ensure that its needs are fully understood by the project team.
-- Review functional designs and ensure consistency across all the developers and make appropriate recommendations.
-- Provide expertise with respect to technical design questions, functional clarification and provide roadmap to the developers with respect to deliverables.
-- Coordinate the teams work with the functional team customers.
-- Define requirements for and manage relationship with other business groups, including UK, India and Switzerland locations and each division.
-- Define the team's level of support and procedures for support to other project teams.
-- Manage the development team, including the assignment of work, tracking of completion, and conduct of status meetings.

Key Skills:
-- Strong functional background with respect to PeopleSoft HRMS and Payroll modules.
-- PeopleSoft V8 implementation experience.
-- Understanding of Peoplesoft Application and functional architecture.
-- Experience with PeopleTools, Security, Administration, SQL, SQR, Workflow and Self Services.
-- Bachelors degree or 7+ years equivalent experience.

-- 5+ years progressively responsible related experience in administration, management control and/or accounting of technical/professional services.

-- 1+ year experience in successful task leadership or supervisory role, demonstrating strong organizational and task leadership skills.
