Support a variety of desktop and internally developed applications used by local and remote users. Respond to service requests reported via an Intranet application or by phone and track requests through to resolution. Reporting to the IT Support Center Manager, the position responsibilities include: Acknowledgement of incoming service requests and support hotline calls in a timely manner. Accurately prioritize, categorize and log calls into problem management system Research/ troubleshoot issues using the tools available, responding in a timely manner based on priority Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to system configuration, network access, remote access, security and business and desktop applications Hardware and software installations and upgrades Hardware deployments Participate in assigned projects, communicating status to team and management Create and publish system and process documentation Work closely with other team members to identify and suggest resolutions and improvements Assist in maintaining desktop and network security by reporting possible trends based on requests Assist with the coordination of moves and changes within an assigned area Complete special projects as requested Create and publish system and process documentation THIS IS A CONTRACT POSITION Experience: A customer service focus is essential for this position. 1-2 years of help desk, desktop or customer service experience. Requires an excellent analytical aptitude and strong written and verbal communications skills. The candidate must have the ability to work as a team player in a fast paced, dynamic environment. Must be detail oriented and able to work on multiple tasks at one time.
