DoubleClick is looking for an experienced Linux / UNIX System Administrator. Position will support current and future Linux / UNIX production infrastructure and ensure stability, scalability, security and performance requirements. Will also work with internal application development groups to profile application needs and advise best programming practices and hardware configuration for production stability and performance. This individual must work well in a team oriented environment. This person must also be able to respond and react well in a dynamic environment. This person must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Responsibilities: Primary responsibility will be to provide infrastructure support on anything that relates to RedHat, Gentoo and Solaris Operating Systems. This includes hardware, storage and backup devices attached to these servers. Additional responsibilities include, but not limited to: * Linux / UNIX systems configuration and setup, troubleshooting and support, performance tuning and maintenance. * Storage Array and SAN configuration and setup, troubleshooting and support, performance tuning and maintenance of over 250 TB of storage. * Backup configuration and setup, troubleshooting and support, performance tuning and maintenance. * Diagnose, solve and deliver root cause analysis for hardware/O.S. issues. * Be a part of a 7x24 on-call rotation. Minimum Requirements: * 3-5 years of system administration experience in Solaris and Linux platforms. * Understanding of Linux / UNIX kernel architecture and system level resources, including SMP. * Experience Linux / UNIX hardware and peripheral installation, maintenance and software packaging. * Experience in Linux / UNIX scripting. * Experience in Veritas NetBackup and file systems. * Experience in configuration of SANs - HDS, NetApp, McData and Brocade Directors are a plus. * Experience with Sun Cluster and QFS File System is a plus. * Experience with Gentoo operating system is a plus.
