Overview:

Our client is seeking future leaders with project delivery and management experience in a fast-paced and complex organization. The Project Manager will lead an experienced development team of approximately 5 full time employees that are focused on implementing automated process improvements and custom workflow applications. This individual would liaison with business leaders and stakeholders in gathering requirements, creating project plans, overseeing development, and implementation. Projects are visible, targeted and provide a platform for future success. Join and lead the highly-skilled application development team.



Responsibilities:

- Define approach, plan, estimate, and promote project efforts.

- Manage multiple project efforts that span 1 to 6 month durations.

- Support team in resolving issues and effectively communicating with executive leadership.

- Develop solutions that are scalable, efficient and easily maintained.

- Assure development standards and processes are followed.

- Provide a positive and collaborative team environment.

- Participate in department budgeting and staffing exercises.

- Work with cross-functional groups in order to achieve project goals.



Qualifications:

- Microsoft .NET and SQL Server 2000 (1-3 years)

* Rapid .NET application development

* Relational Database, T-SQL and Stored Procedures

* Data Transformation Services (DTS) and ActiveX Scripting (VBScript)

- Microsoft Project

- A minimum of three years experience leading and managing efforts with at least 5 FTEs.

- Team builder and collaborative management style.

- Self starter with strong problem solving and analysis skills.

- Articulate and concise communicator both written and verbal.

- Ability to work independently and set direction for a development team.

- Ability to capture complex concepts and issues in simple frameworks to drive change and decision making.

- Possesses a passion for solving technical and business issues to drive growth and operational efficiency.

- Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies and skills.

- SDLC knowledge

- Six Sigma Certifications or Process Re-Engineering experience preferred

- PMP Certification preferred

- Previous Visual Basic development experience a plus
