Summary:
The successful candidate must have 5+ years experience as an Oracle database architect, with a proven track record in SQL and PL/SQL coding, DB architecture, tools, methodologies, OLTP and data warehousing deployments. In this role, you will work with the database team, which consists of Database Architects, Developers and Administrators. In this position, you will be expected to actively participate in all stages of application lifecycle, from data architecture to physical database design, from implementing business and system logic in the database, to helping front-end and backend Engineers to use database more efficiently in their applications. You will be assisting the group manager in providing database expertise and support for the various groups and projects throughout the organization, in database needs assessment and database planning.

Role & Responsibilities:
* Database modeling for both OLTP and OLAP systems
* Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development
* Oracle DBMS and SQL performance tuning
* Support developers and QA engineers on any database related issues

Minimum Job Requirements / Skills:
* Recent, 5+ years of hands-on Oracle experience
* An in-depth knowledge of Oracle version 9i and above
* BS in Computer Science and related major (MS preferred)
* A thorough understanding of data modeling, data normalization and data warehouse/mart modeling
* An in-depth knowledge of relational database design and object-relational database design
* Experienced in Oracle DBMS and SQL tuning
* Experienced in SQL, PL/SQL programming
* Strong systems analysis skills
* Application life cycle development experience
* Application UI development experience

Soft Skills:
* Effective oral and written communication skills
* Ability to influence and mentor other team members
* Use of professional structured methods, standards and techniques in the development and specification of data requirements
