The Systems Virtualization and Storage Administrator will be responsible for maintaining and managing the corporate computing infrastructure. The Information Technology team has completed a cutting edge virtualization and optimization strategy, and needs a operations lead to oversee and build upon the system and storage layer subsystems, for new server creation and maintenance.

Responsibilities include the day-to-day operations of the storage infrastructure, creation and management of virtual machine infrastructure, design, plan, and maintain continued improvements of the corporate datacenter facilities, design, install and maintain core infrastructure services, test disaster recovery cycles at the virtualization and storage layers, maintain systems and backup strategy, install and configure new hardware/software, document processes/procedures/changes, system performance tuning and capacity planning, Linux System & SAN troubleshooting.
Experience: Requirements include a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field.

Self motivated problem solver who has worked in or consulted for a large server environment will be given preference. We look for intelligent, ambitious people willing to work hard in a team oriented environment. Candidates must have excellent organization skills, diagnostics and problem solving abilities as well as strong written and verbal communication skills.

At least 8 to 10 years of Systems administration experience. Complete understanding and experience in the following technologies:

Design, implement, support of Virtualization Environment, based on VMWare ESX 3. VCP Certification preferred.
NetApp FAS series filers, DataONTAP 7.x FlexVol, FlexClone, SnapManager for Exchange/SQL/Oracle, DFM, SnapDrive, Multipath I/O, boot-from-san, Fiber Channel Protocol, iSCSI, NFS, CIFS
NACE or NACP Certifications from Network Appliance preferred.
Experience supporting Oracle10g RAC with NetApp SAN.
IBM BladeCenter and xSeries servers
Brocade Silkworm SAN switches, directors, and management suites
Redhat packaging and compiling experience, database troubleshooting of any flavor under Linux (MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL).RHCE Preferred. Advanced TCP/IP troubleshooting skills

Strong candidates will be energetic, able to clearly communicate ideas, and willing to be on call 24 x 7.
