Location: Chicago, ILThis position is responsible for the design and support of the Microsoft technology, including Active Directory, Windows, and Exchange in addition to hardware selection and standards. This position will own the requirements, analysis, design, development, implementation, support and documentation functions for hardware and applications utilized within the Microsoft environment to include all aspects of system monitoring, system administration, performance tuning, documentation, installation and troubleshooting any issues related to the above technologies.PRINCIPLE DUTIES · Leads technical design, implementation and support for designated hardware and software technologies such as Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Server, and Exchange.· Acts as liaison to IT and business to gather requirements for hardware and software enhancements and upgrades.· Recommends, develops, and tests new technology, develops solutions, and documentation for enterprise· Works closely with the business and IT to develop cost effective, operationally supportable solutions that meet complex requirements.· Develops project cost and benefit estimates to establish project worth; including alternative considerations leading to recommendations for new systems or change to existing ones.· Recommends and designs new technologies and solutions, including hardware and software, and provides documentation for store projects.· Responsible for delivering assignments within specified time frames, adhering to all established standards and guidelines individually or as a member of a project team.· Build and maintain relationships with key vendors, on development, enhancements and upgrades to store environment. Manages these vendors in troubleshooting situations.· Negotiates pricing and technical requirements with vendors.· Assess complex technical problems to develop, appraise and recommend solutions.· Evaluate new technologies to solve business requirements.· Responsible for 24 x 7 support for designated application and infrastructure area.REQUIREMENTS · Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related discipline or equivalent experience required.· Minimum 8+ years of IT experience, including Windows Server Administration.· Professional designation/certification required, MCSE· Solid knowledge of industry practices and technical systems and a solid understanding of the potential user of technology solutions in a business environment.· Strong verbal, written and presentation skills with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external business partners.· Proven Project management a plus· Ability and willingness to provide off-hours supportExcellent salary, bonuses and company benefitsTo Apply: For prompt consideration, contact CTR's Olivia Fortuna about: [link removed] Senior Server Engineer
