Benefit Specialist

Responsibilities:
Works with internal customer to ensure clear understanding of required changes.
Analyzes, researches and executes clients' new and existing benefit plan set up requests.
Performs timely and accurate documentation of the client benefit requests, navigating through system to implement changes.
Self monitors work output utilizing system reporting tools, testing and/or sight verification.
Analyzes all data for completeness and accuracy of contents.
Integrates new products with existing benefit set-up ensuring no financial or customer impacts.
Performs detailed historical research to provide answers to client-based questions to ensure correct benefit coverage .

Requirements:
Ability to manage time effectively to coordinate all job functions to ensure timely responses.
Extremely computer literate for system screen navigation.
Ability to understand and decipher medical terminology critical in verbal communication and being able to decipher system changes.
Strong communication skills, both written and oral with ability to explain complex processes and systems.
Quality and customer focus.
Strong organizational skills
Demonstrated leadership.
Analytical and problem solving experience
Ability to prioritize work and tasks effectively to meet service levels
Familiarity with medical codes preferred.

Education/Experience
College BA/BS Degree
2+ years industry experience
