Responsibilities: SAN provisioning Setup and maintain replication and cloning, including basic Scripting SAN switch management and configuration Host configuration needed to access provisioned storage Migration of data to new arrays Maintain documentation of storage allocations for all arrays Troubleshoot SAN connectivity issues Requirements: Comprehensive understanding of the various storage frame offerings from: EMC HDS NetApp Comprehensive understanding of the software components, including management, replication, snapshots, etc, for the vendors listed above Strong applied experience with all or most of the following storage related technologies: Cisco MDS Director Class Switches Replication and Cloning Multi-pathing Volume managers Tiered Storage RAID Levels Experience with change management practices. Good SAN troubleshooting skills from host through to disk array Experience configuring Fibre Channel Directors and Switches, such as Brocade and Cisco. Experience with HBA installation, configuration and troubleshooting. In-depth understanding of the Fibre Channel protocol General understanding of remote replication techniques and their associated tools. Experience with NAS, including CIFS and NFS sharing architectures. Background in large-scale Unix and Windows environments with a strong concentration in Linux.
