Job Summary This position performs a combination of contract, performance and relationship management roles with strategic vendors delivering IT hardware, software products and services. Primary focus is on optimizing the business relationships and product/service agreements established between CNA and critical suppliers supporting the CNA-IT Infrastructure and Services functions. Essential Duties & Responsibilities 1. Determines and develops departmental strategies to maximize performance and improve business results. Presents recommendations to senior ITmanagement to set sourcing goals and strategies to meet objectives. 2.Supports the negotiation of contractual agreements between CNA and technology product & service suppliers ensuring short & long-term service and cost objectives are met 3.Manages relationship and monitors performance of IT vendorss relationship and monitors performance of IT vendors 4.Performs cost and spend analysis to identify cost effective solutions for existing and future contracts 5.Tracks achieved savings and communicate overall Vendor Management trends and results 6 Stays current on trends and developments within Vendor management, Information Technology, and Insurance Industry. May perform additional duties as assigned. Reporting Relationship Typically AVP or above Skills, Knowledge & Abilities 1. In-depth knowledge of the insurance industry, its products, practices and operations. 2. Ability to exercise professional judgment and assume responsibility for decisions which have an impact on business goals. 3. Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills. Ability to effectively interact with all levels of CNA's internal and external business partners. 4. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects. 5. Ability to deal with ambiguous situations and issues. 6. Creativity in resolving unique and challenging business problems. 7. Ability to achieve results by taking a proactive long-term view of business goals and objectives. 8. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software. Education & Experience 1. Bachelors degree or equivalent. 2. Minimum eight years progressive experience in Vendor Management & Information Technology. 3.
