Sr. Project ManagerObjective is to supplement the current PMO staff and expand PMO work capacity, increase the velocity of work, improve effectiveness, and provide additional bandwidth to ensure the successful and timely delivery of quality projects across the the organization.1. Work Activities1.) Help finalize project charters for identified projects. Review, modify and update chartersfor assigned projects. Update charters as required, by collaborating with business teamsand conducting change review sessions with PMO team. Submit updated project chartersto appropriate Business Sponsors for sign off and approval..2.) Finalize project schedules for the strategic projects. Review and assess the quality of theproject schedules for assigned projects. Develop and enhance project schedules to ensuretimely completion of projects, delivery of quality work products, and completion ofactivities consistent with Business Sponsors expectations and that meets/exceeds PMOstandards. Establish and update Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) as appropriate.Complete resource loading of project tasks by collaborating with business leads.Determine and monitor level of effort (LOE) to complete individual tasks by resource.Publish, monitor, and report on project schedules.3.) Conduct and update project cost estimates for identified projects by utilizing effectivecosting techniques and collaborating with business sponsors and leads to ensure accurateand reasonable estimates.4.) Provide project oversight and management of identified projects. Attend business, status,workout and technical meetings. Maintain and update project schedule. Maintain,update and provide weekly status reports, including milestone, risk, scheduling and other.Manage and mitigate project issues and risks. Ensure project deliverables and milestonesare met timely with high quality output. Develop project documentation consistent withbusiness and PMO standards. Conduct lessons learned debriefings at the conclusion ofeach project and develop close out documentation.5.) Help develop and implement reporting tools for the PMO. Produce PMO reports.6.) Help develop and produce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for PMO. Makerecommendations to improve and modify SOPs.7.) Provide support for tools being used by the PMO (MS Project, SharePoint, etc.). Thisincludes assisting and potentially training business staff as appropriate.8.) Perform other functions that may arise as requirements within the PMOAdditional Project Work Activities will include:General. Weekly status reports. Daily timesheets. Participation in Post Implementation ReviewProject Related work activities. Risk plans and mitigation strategies. Issue logs. Communication plans.
