The Back Office suite consists of data stored in a Sybase database, Perl scripts to parse raw input data from multiple sources and Perl scripts to generate various reports for both management and traders, such as trade reconciliations, position reports, P&L reports, compliance reports, etc. Responsible for all aspects of development including: Researching projects, writing/testing/debugging the code, deploying the app to the production environment, ensuring that code is checked in to a source code control system, and that any accompanying documentation is written. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain code for existing applications Experience working in MS Windows environment Experience with databases/SQL required Sybase (or SQL Server) experience preferred Experience in Object-Oriented Design and Design Patterns Strong experience with MS Excel Experience using C or Java Strong knowledge of Scripting such as Perl or Python Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong analytical and problem solving skills Ability to work in a team environment or individually Financial industry experience in Back Office/AccountingCANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or its equivalent. - At least 5 years hands on development experience.- Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.TAKE ACTION!Why wait another day?It is time to act!Apply NOW and join the CDI Team TODAY!
