Responsible for feasibility studies,
definition requirements, and design of
complex data processing projects.
Acts as a liaison with other systems'
areas and provides technical consulting
to systems and business units. Works
independently and/or directs a team as
required. Develops or maintains computer
programs including designing, coding, testing,
debugging, and installation as needed.

Major Duties: 1. Conducts feasibility studies, and defines and
designs system requirements for complex data
processing projects.

2. Acts as a liaison to the other systems' areas
and provides technical guidance and can direct
project development as needed.

3. Provides input on performance reviews when
directing a team.

4. Interacts with vendors to review software or
support existing packages.

5. Interfaces with partners from other systems'
areas to determine impacts of hardware/software
changes and partners in other business units for
the project and/or systems support.

6. Develops or maintains computer programs
including designing, coding, testing, debugging,
and installation as needed.

7. Prepares project phase reports, including
requirements, feasibility, definition and design.

8. Directs the development of prototyped systems
development.

9. Communicates with various business areas
and outside vendors, consultants, and clients
regarding automation needs.

Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of programming languages and
various business applications, usually acquired
through related experience, is required to support
all project phases. Knowledge of programming,
debugging, and testing systems' programs, usually
obtained through a four year degree program or
related work experience, is required to develop
or maintain computer programs. Analytical and
problem solving skills are needed for systems
guidance.

Experience: Minimum 5 years experience with project feasibility
studies, definition requirements, design, and project
leadership in a highly customized Peoplesoft environment. Minimum 5 years solid experience with Peoplesoft development tool which includes PeopleCode, Application Engine, Component Interface as well as Peoplesoftâ?os Payroll module. Oracle database experience and strong SQL and Unix scripting experience is also required. Experience with Peoplesoft Application Messaging and Java development experience would be a plus.
