Application Support / Business Analyst

Employment Type: FTE (fulltime permanent employment)

Job Description/Responsibilities:
Assists in the identification of business requirements and in devising system and programming alternatives and specifications.
Is the primary support for back-office applications such as Fimaclear, trade flow and so on.
Acts as back-up to the primary Clearvision support person.
Assists the Senior Application Support Specialist in taking care of other day-to-day support calls. Makes decisions to ensure continued processing of calls and escalates critical issues in accordance with CTS support procedures.
Assists the CTS relationship managers in completing critical, day-to-day tasks and business analysis functions.
Performs quality testing of in-house and third party applications prior to formal user acceptance and deployment
Creates technical support guides to new applications and shares these documents with the application support team
Works with business managers and customers to define business requirements for assigned projects and other programming requests
Follows up on assigned projects to make sure that business needs are being carried out as planned.

Qualifications:
Strong organization and communication skills
Good understanding of development life cycle process and methodology
3+ years of information technology (IT) experience, with at least two years in application support
Proficient in VisualBasic, VBA, SQL (stored procedures, DTS packages, error log analysis)
Working knowledge of web development technologies
Knowledgeable in the use of reporting tools such as Crystal Reports and Microsoft Reporting Services
Business exposure in futures commodity trading and back-office domains
Bachelors degree
