We are currently working with a large client in the Chicago loop on a 6 month contract to hire opportunity within their telecommunications and infrastructure group.

Our client is largest marketing communications network in the world, servicing multinational and local brands in all regions. The hallmark of brand-building capabilities is the balance of global and local brands within a worldwide network.

Their Chicago office is looking for a Mid-Level Telephony/Help Desk Professional with two years of Cisco IP phone support on an end-user level.

While supporting 300+ end-users, this individual will be provided with in-house training on systems and procedures to work towards a winning career with this leading cutting edge company.

SUMMARY OF POSITION
The primary focus of this position is to manage the daily operation of telecommunications functions with responsibility for operational efficiency. Position will float between two operations groups and this individual needs to be comfortable communicating with all levels within these organizations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for managing Cisco IP handsets, call managers and
unity voice mail systems

Blackberry Enterprise Server management

Manage all cell phone accounts; financial responsibility transfers and equipment tracking via asset tags and database input

Integrated messaging/meet me conferencing

Directs the development and implementation of policies and procedures for the improvement or modification of existing telecommunications programs

Coordinates and works to ensure operating budges for all telecommunications functions

Support/project management and act as technical lead on remote implementations of VOIP telecommunications equipment including call managers, voice mail systems and advanced features.

Provide specific telecommunications product administration, operations and maintenance including moves, adds and changes for PBX and voice mail systems.

Evaluate, deploy and manage where appropriate, telecommunication applications including call manager, unified messaging, IP telephony, etc

Interact with department heads to assess needs and design telecommunication application solutions

Provide end user support, troubleshooting, escalation and track resource availability in area of telecommunications

Video Conference Team member providing technical support on all aspects of video conferencing including pre-call testing, technical support and training

Troubleshoot end user VoIP related issues pertinent to a Cisco VoIP designed network infrastructure
