Formulates and defines system scope and objectives for assigned projects. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, current and future business process, and form of desired results. Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Responsible for program design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation. Has full technical knowledge of all phases of applications systems analysis and programming. Designs and builds web based applications using C# and ASP.NET. Develops and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the database. Implements data models and database designs, data access and table maintenance codes for both relational and multidimensional databases (SQL Server and Hyperion). Has a level of understanding of the business or function for which application suite is designed. The level of work required is considered intermediate and staff must be able to work under general supervision. This job functions has no direct reports.


Job Description:

  • Provides input into the development of strategic and tactical business line planning
  • Coordinates with internal users and/or external customers to ensure that business requirements are met and implemented into production
  • Ensures that the standard software tool kit is used whenever possible and that software results in improved efficiency, usability and minimizes on-going maintenance
  • Maintains information security compliance expertise by attendance at information security update sessions, completion of assigned security software/hardware training and on-the-job training
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Has authority to act in order to resolve and/or avoid problems which could threaten business processing
  • Acts as internal consultant, supporting process re-engineering efforts and team based problem solving for highly complex situations
  • Resolves and proactively avoids disruptions to business processing
  • Web and Applications Development design using C#, ASP.NET and SQL Server (and more)
  • Develops and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the database
  • Implements data models and database designs, data access and table maintenance codes
  • Functions as a knowledge leader for both business processes and technical implementation of such processes
  • Ensures that the quality of applications architected, designed, maintained and enhanced in-house


Experience: Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience as noted below
  • 1 to 3 years of direct work related experience working with web development based technologies with an emphasis on Microsoft Based development using C# and ASP.NET
  • General understanding of cost accounting and budgeting practices
    Coursework in computer science, professional certification and related technology
  • Demonstrates independent decision-making abilities
  • Possesses and applies both specific and broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of the field of specialization to the completion of assignments
  • Requires the ability to fully understand business processes and to translate business requirements into technical issues for resolution
