Our Financial Services client currently seeks a JAVA/J2EE Developer for DIRECT-HIRE. WILL ALSO CONSIDER CONTRACT-TO-HIRE.

Job Description:

Our client is seeking bright Java Developers and Engineers. You will be working for one of the leading, firms in proprietary options trading. In this dynamic role you will be the interface to technology for the client's options traders and have the opportunity to turn concepts into practical solutions. You will get to work in the full development lifecycle, interfacing with the users during the iterative development process. You will create, enhance and troubleshoot a variety of tools that support our client's business.

Skills required:

- At least three or more years of software development experience with Java in a Windows environment preferably within a financial trading industry;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; and strong analytic and problem solving skills;
- Team player willing to take on responsibility to support mission critical trading operations of the firm.

Skills desired:

- Knowledge of equity options trading;
- Familiarity with in shared memory, multi-threading, tuning, data captures & replay mechanisms;
- Socket programming (telecommunications) experience;
- Hands on work experience with Quote Feed API's, SIAC, ARCA, OPRA and other exchange feeds;
- Experience with an electronic trading platform support;
- Experience with SQL programming on SQL Server 2005;
- Trading or financial markets experience a plus, NOT REQUIRED

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering

Excellent verbal,written and interpersonal skills essential.
