BASIC FUNCTION:
This position is responsible for leading and coordinating activities of business application system development or support team using existing and emerging technology platforms.


Experience: JOB REQUIREMENTS:
1) Bachelor Degree with 3 years experience OR Technical Certification or College Courses with 4 years experience OR 5 years experience
2) SQL experience
3) Experience with relational database design and creating stored procedures
4) Experience with database performance tuning with medium to large databases
5) Experience in leading system design using data modeling and common modeling tools
6) Knowledge of typical data loading, transformation, cleansing, messaging tools that are common in the industry
7) Ability to debug and problem solve T-SQL code issues with application development team
8) Excellent verbal and written communication skills and Analytical skills
9) PC proficiency to include Microsoft Excel, Access and Word.

PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:
1) Team Lead experience
2) DB2 or Sybase experience. Knowledge of disaster recovery restore procedures
3) Knowledge of insurance industry.
