POSITION SUMMARY

The Web Developer analyzes, maintains, supports, and provides training on firm Internet, Intranet and related technologies. Key components of this position are demonstrated proficiency in delivering solutions in tools ( Vignette, Inquisite, Webtrends ) with minimal or no programming, technical analysis / problem solving skills and positive customer service skills, facilitating effective combinations of business needs and web technologies. The Web Developer is a member of the Applications Development division, Web Services unit in the Information Technology ( IT ) department. This position is based in Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-Maintain production and development Internet / Intranet environments for content authors, editors, publishers and users on the firm's Vignette Content Management system.
-Train on the use of Internet / Intranet technologies and tools which support business information publishing needs.
-Perform system administration of content management systems and related technologies ( content management software, web server, etc. )
-Develop web-based forms and surveys using the firm's Inquisite survey system ( HTML knowledge required ).
-Provide reporting metrics and assistance to Grant Thornton web site stakeholders using the firm's Webtrends system.
-Provide technical support on assigned Internet / Intranet technologies and tools and coordinate support needs with other divisions within the IT department.
-Provide excellent customer service to all Internet and Intranet users ( authors, editors, publishers, management, and end users ).
-Report issues, problems, customer needs as they occur to IT management.
-Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict confidentiality in matters that require discretion.
-Attend professional development and training sessions on a regular basis.
-Perform other job-related duties as necessary and participate in special projects as assigned by management.
Experience: QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
-Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field.
-1 - 3 years experience with several of the following technologies: HTML, JavaScript, Active Server Pages, Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS), Apache Tomcat, Microsoft SQL Server, Java Server Pages, and other Internet technologies in the production and publishing of Internet and/or Intranet websites.
-Experience and proficiency in Webtrends, Inquisite, Photoshop, and/or Vignette a plus.
-Ability to complete ad-hoc report requests using Microsoft SQL Server a plus.
-Previous experience in the Professional Services and Accounting industry a plus.
-Previous experience in the application of knowledge management best practices in the publishing of information systems content a plus.
-Outstanding problem solving skills.
-Ability to work with minimal supervision.
-Excellent written and oral communications skills.
-Training and presentation skills in both individual and group settings.
-Proven ability to effectively multitask with strong attention to detail.
-Team oriented, flexible and able to work in a changing work environment.
-Experience with operation, support and benefits of content management systems.
-Reports directly to Website Technology Manager.
-100% in-office work arrangement required; pager may be required for after-hours support on a part-time basis. In-frequent overtime required ( evenings / weekends ).
-Ability to work additional hours as needed.
