Our client located in Downtown Chicago, is looking for a Business Analyst, who has an excellent exposure to SQL 2005.This position requires someone who could handle both technical and functional role successfully. The BA provides multiple levels of technical support and expertise, in designing functions and methodologies. The Business Analyst will be assisting in the planning, deployment, support, maintenance, and enhancement for the existing and the new applications, of our client. The BA serves as a technical lead on the projects and codes and tests new systems and upgrades program language and the database technology on the existing systems. The Business Analyst will assist and support QA testers with development and test plan execution and also would ensure that accurate and complete user documentation exists. He/she will collaborate with hardware and software technicians and users, to ensure the system and the process efficiencies. The BA will create and follow established documentation processes to ensure appropriate tracking procedures and also would support other application developers on an on-going basis. He /she will be performing other duties as required.

This position will be responsible for overseeing the proprietary software data integrity processes, and procedures, and troubleshooting and resolving related data integrity issues. The Business Analyst will analyze the software's exception reports efficiently to ensure that the submissions are processed on a daily basis and issues are resolved in a timely manner to avoid backlogs. He/she will analyze the proprietary software's database for missing data elements and leads an effort with team to ensure data maintenance. The Business Analyst will manage internal projects and tasks as assigned. The BA will establish timelines and would effectively communicate with team members while taking responsibility and accountability of own work load. He /she will identify operational issues with proprietary software's submissions, communicates findings, and participates in problem resolution activities. The BA will participate in participate in downtime testing of the proprietary software program from user perspective and provides clearance to technical team to release and resume the proprietary software after downtime. The Business Analyst will ensure that the operational functions are completed within established timelines. The BA will develop automated test scripts following testing guidelines. The ideal Business Analyst for this position will code and test new systems, upgrades program language and database technology on existing systems.This is an ongoing recruiting effort by Robert Half Technology.

Experience: The requirements for a candidate to apply for this position would be Bachelor&#146;s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Technology or related field with 3 years of related software experience. The candidate's technical expertise must include MS Office and familiarity of relational database queries. A demonstrable skill in Microsoft SQL Server is a must. The ideal candidate must have excellent oral and written communication, presentation, technical, customer service, problem solving, analytical and critical thinking skills. Ability to work independently to resolve client issues and collectively to establish a positive working rapport with users and work on multiple assignments in a team environment are essential. Flexibility in activities is imperative.

Technical expertise must include MS Office, VB.NET, ASP.NET, T-SQL, HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, XML, OOP, Unit-Testing. The following are preferred but not required: Adobe Flex 2.0, Action Script 3 and also with background with Windows operating systems, servers, web design and 3-tier architectural concepts.
