6 month contract to hire -Senior Web/Application Developer in Chicago, IL
The candidate will be a high level Application Developer reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer and providing support and leadership for various web-based needs through guidance, maintenance, and development of web-based sites, services and applications. They will create, install, configure, maintain, administer support and troubleshoot for the company website.
The duties for the contractor will be maintaining and creating new web applications for the company website by adding to or altering existing content. There will be maintenance that will include updating charts and margin information, repairing codes, and manually including or excluding industry seminars. They will manage web analytics by downloading web server logs weekly, ensuring that they are properly processed and recorded in the proper format on new servers. Create WebStats reports every month, in addition to managing users and permissions for viewing stats on ClickTracks. Candidate will produce and maintain desktop applications, such as Alexa WebService Consumer, Hosts Swapper and HTML Decrapper for internal use. Working independently and with project team members to develop the site concept, interface design and architecture of the web site. Candidate will work closely with the Compliance Department to ensure web content is in alignment with company policies and procedures.
Technical training will also be a portion of the position, either company sponsored or through personal education and professional development learning. Solving technical issues directly, or diagnosing them and involve technical staff or 3rd parties as appropriate. They will work with other IT Project Managers to develop standards and operating procedures for change management, automation of procedures, business continuity, and deployment of new applications.

Experience: Markup Languages the candidate must know are XHTML, Dynamic HTML and XML. Scripting Languages are JavaScript, VBScript, ASP.NET, PHP, Ajax, Coldfusion, Flash, C#, and SQL. The Web Servers are Windows, IIS, and Apache (Linux knowledge a plus but not required). The Relational Database – SQL Server 2000/2005
