We are currently seeking to fill a Data Modeler/Data Quality Analyst position for our client in Chicago, IL. We invite you to review the position requirements below and apply today if your skills match our need.

Overview:
This role will be responsible for producing and maintaining conceptual and logical data models, and physical data architecture of operational data stores, data warehouses and data marts. The position will also perform root cause analysis on data quality cases as assigned.

Responsibilities:
- Analyze business and functional requirements of assigned projects and translate into technical specifications and data rules required for the construction of a data mart, data warehouse or operational data store.
- Analyze sample data and produce relational or dimensional model based on the data
- Develop data models for new databases.
- Enhance existing data model and update the corresponding database.
- Keep all documentation (business and technical metadata, data models, guidelines and standards, etc., processes) current
- Perform root cause analysis on data quality cases as assigned.
- Work under supervision of DQ tech lead to determine and document solution(s) for data quality problems.

Required skills and experience:
- Advanced knowledge and extensive experience in dimensional and relational data modeling.
- Participation in data modeler role in successful implementation of a large data warehouse and data marts using Oracle on UNIX or DB2 UDB on UNIX, with particular focus on DB2.
- Experience and demonstrated abilities in functioning in a cross-functional team and interacting with technical and non-technical peers and managers in a shared services organization
- Advanced knowledge and hands-on production experience in multi-tiered data warehousing and operational data stores (5+ years)
- Advanced knowledge and hands-on production experience in large data warehousing (400G+) implementation in an Oracle database on a UNIX platform
- Good data analysis skills, especially investigative analysis of data issues to determine quality problems and root cause.
- Strong understanding of data quality assurance processes and procedures
- General understanding of brokerage data and the securities industry
- Proven abilities to manage multiple priorities and assignments
- Good communication and presentation skills
