Currently, we are seeking candidates to assist our customer with the technical support for a wide array of Unix and SQL servers, including Patient Logix, E-Commerce, Mail order, etc. This individual will work with teams (internal and external) to assure high availability of all supported systems. You will also be required to carry a primary or backup pager based on a rotation schedule for 24 hour support. Pager duty will be one week per role. Qualified candidates will be available to handle off hours release conversions, emergency loads, and normal weekly loads.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Provide daily support and maintenance for the client\'s applications-all in which are setup on supported servers. All servers run on UNIX and SQL.

*Consistently maintain up to date configuration.

*Develop processes/scripts that improve system availability.

*Write and maintain documentation for supporting issues.

*Debug/troubleshoot production issues.

*Provide/generate debug information to the various development teams, enabling them to fix the issues accordingly.

QUALIFICATIONS:

*Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.

*Experience with Oracle, Tuxedo, and Unix/AIX systems and SQL Server are ideal.

*Working knowledge in client server environment and TCP networking.

*Knowledge of shell scripting in Unix is required.

*Strong troubleshooting/debugging skills.

*Exposure to C programming language to debug C programs is required. Candidates must be able to detect where the problem lies within the C code, and then delegate the issue to the proper team.

*Must be able to program using Perl.
