Candidate Responsibilities:
- Design and installation of network architectures including: Cisco routers, switches, wireless and VPNs.
- Design and installation of Cisco AVVID technologies, including call manager and Unity voice messaging systems.
- Maintenance and support of network and telecom systems to ensure overall availability of company's networks.
- Configure and support monitoring systems and tools including NetIQ AppManager and Ipswitch WhatsUp.
- Perform capacity planning activities based on trending tools and monitoring systems.
- Perform system and equipment upgrades as needed.
- Perform DNS and DHCP changes and additions.
- Support networking needs of Security, Desktop and Server teams.
- Create documentation for network design, support and maintenance procedures.
- Interface with Help Desk on an ongoing basis.
- Provide on-call services after normal business hours when required.
- Travel: 10-20% or as needed.

Candidate Requirements:
- 4+ years of Cisco networking experience
- Understanding of TCP/IP and related routing protocols, such as OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP.
- Experience with Windows 2000 Administration.
- Excellent communications skills and the ability to effectively communicate findings both written and orally using layman terms and technical terms.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to take ownership of projects from start to completion.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem resolution skills.
- Ability to work closely with co-workers to resolve and document networking issues/problems.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or telecommunications preferred.
- Proven hands-on experience in a large-scale network environment.
- CCDP/CCNP certification preferred; CCIE certification a plus.
