Salary Range: $75,500 - $105,000



Overview:

This role will be responsible for overseeing first and second level support delivery and troubleshooting activities. The Technical Specialist will work across all IT support teams to assure desktop support delivery standards. He/she will develop, communicate and monitor processes and procedures within the team. Additionally, this role will analyze and evaluate PC system software and hardware standards. Primary technical scope is for desktop support (hardware and software) and image support.



Responsibilities:

- Address technical issues escalated within technical support teams.

- Evaluate documents and communicate the staging, imaging and support processes for the standard desktop image.

- Explain/train as subject matter expert (SME) on technical concepts of hardware, software, and related desktop applications.

- Monitor/Test current and emerging desktop technology.

- Make recommendations and creates proposals for vendor/multi-vendor solutions.

- Keep abreast of current and emerging information technology and trends in operational support related areas.

- Understand business needs and provides innovative solutions to business opportunities.

- Assist in determining service level agreements and ensures they are met.

- Direct and delegate tasks effectively to others, balancing resources with skills and priorities.

- Lead small to medium operational support related projects.

- Ensure communication occurs within team, across IT teams, across other company departments and IT vendors.



Required Qualifications:

- Extensive knowledge of hardware, internal, peripherals, and systems software for personal computers.

- Extensive experience in technical support and testing.

- Experience in leading IT projects.

- A minimum of 7 years of technical experience in PC support.

- Excellent analytical, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills.

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field.

- Certifications: MCSE, MCDST, MCP, ITIL
