Our client is a business and technology consulting firm that helps its clients build and design dynamic, user-centric websites to drive their business. Our client is looking for a highly effective User Experience Specialist who is able to bring an in depth understanding of user centered design theory and practice to their growing company. This User Experience Specialist should have agency or design firm experience leading the creative execution of large web and software design projects. A background in e-commerce, e-mail marketing and online advertising is also needed. The User Experience Specialist must be able to understand a target audience's needs and translate them into concepts for compelling interactions and experiences. This expert will be the go-to person on design projects so they must be able to communicate clearly, be open to change, and be prepared to deliver projects on tight deadlines. The User Experience Specialist must also be prepared to show a portfolio of past User Experience projects that include page schematics, site maps, user personas, page flow diagrams, usability test scripts and competitive audits.
Experience: A Bachelor's degree and 5+ years agency or design firm experience are required. So is a thorough understanding of best practices in web design, user interface/usability/information architecture and general web analytics. Strong knowledge of fundamental digital marketing and search engine optimization best practices as it relates to UX design is also needed. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Windows and Mac operating systems, and knowledge of motion graphic design, search engine optimization, digital Marketing, web analytics, HTML, CSS, Flash and ActionScript.
