We are seeking a Network Architect/Infrastructure Design Engineer for a unique, full-time opportunity with our client. You will be part of the Infrastructure Design group of a "boutique" consulting company that is owned by a Fortune 1000 firm. You will provide high-level consulting services including strategy, planning, technical design, and implementation for all areas of clients' technology environments including, network hardware and software, servers, storage and WAN/communication links. Responsibilities will also involve project management of clients and third party vendors, and proof of concept testing. Requirements:*Previous consulting experience (Big 4 a Plus)*Proven experience with network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices.*At least one certification, CCNA, MCSE or VCP required, multiple certifications a plus!*Good/practical technical judgment and troubleshooting skills with the ability to leverage one's own and all available resources are required. Experience with centralization, consolidation and virtualization of servers, storage and overall IT architecture with supporting work in disaster recovery planning and implementation is a major plus. Hands on experience required.*Expertise in WAN/LAN (Layer 3), VMWare/virtualization, Citrix Presentation Server, Storage area networks/enterprise storage devices (SAN/NAS), Microsoft Server network and desktop operating system/messaging, Monitoring system design (MOM, Compuware, Altiris, Tivoli, etc), Software distribution systems, Exchange installations and migrations, Active Directory design and implementation, and Desktop image/packaging and deployment (Altiris) You will be rewarded with a competitive salary ($80K-$130K), commensurate with experience), bonus potential, and a full benefits package.
