Job description: The successful candidate will be responsible for managing customer relationships and will be technical enough in the areas of MS Server, Network Infrastructure and Electronic Trading to serve as the primary liaison for the installation/configuration, implementation and onsite support of our Client's software within customer's e-trading environments. This person will also provide proactive customer training, maintain relationships with our customer's technical staff and fully manage the customer's overall experience while using our Client's software.Reporting to the Director of Technical Services this position will involve local travel to our Client's customer**s on-site locations; this person should expect to be **on-site** with the client up to 50% at times. NO OUT-OF-STATE TRAVEL!! What Job Entails:The PRE-POST Sales Engineer owns the customer relationship, and splits time 50/50 between office and client sites. Will typically manage 10-15 clients at a time. Must be technically competent and able to converse intelligently with clients IT personnel on issues involving MS Server and Network Infrastructure to ensure systems are optimized for performance and to share best practices. As the PRE-POST Sales Engineer has a sales/relationship role with the client, they can**t be too technical and lack the intangible qualities (personality, relationship building, and trust). Must posses a Polished and Professional demeanor Keys traits in order of importance:Intangible qualities (personality, people skills, relationship building, trust). Fitting into Trading Technologies culture which is very laid back and like family. Lots of freedom with lots of responsibility. Technical Ability (not expert level but a high level of understanding so discussions can be had with the key players in the clients IT environment and troubleshooting can be performed) Industry knowledge of electronic trading systems a huge PLUS!! Responsibilities: Own and manage multiple customer relationships. Drive resolution of customer issues through all means necessary. Develop highly effective relationships across all departments. Escalate technical issues as appropriate. Apply fundamental troubleshooting to each issue skills when issues have been escalated to you before involving support engineers. Provide analysis and recommendations for product enhancement. Understand, prioritize and drive resolution of issues through hands-on involvement and highly effective communication between responsible parties at the client site and our Client. Use project management methodologies to track and drive customer requirements and technical solutions. Desired Experience:Bachelor**s degree preferred Great Soft Skills (this is a heavy client facing position) Knowledge of Network Infrastructure (Cisco experience preferred) Knowledge of MS Server Knowledge of Electronic Trading Software big plus. Required Experience:5+ years experience in a Client/Server Windows based Derivatives Trading environment. Solid grasp of networking concepts. Must be technically savvy; not looking for an **expert** in anything, just someone who is **well-rounded** technically.
