Job Summary Manages and coordinates business unit activities which includes Peoplesoft financials functional support, customer service support andoperational metrics and reportingand other administration services ensuring effective delivery of service to all levels of internal and external customers. Essential Duties & Responsibilities 1. Manages the work activities and has full management responsibility for the performance and development of subordinate staff in accordance with corporate strategic direction. 2. Oversees administration service functions which may include but are not limited to Peoplesoft financials functional support, customer service support andoperational metrics and reporting, accounting and information technology support, and ensures compliance to company policies and procedures. 3. Executes administration services activities consistent with department/corporate goals, strategic planning and growth objectives. 4. Participates in the development of metric reporting which includes short term and long range financial plans and budgets. 5. Provides input for management decision making including documenting processes and delivering presentations. 6. Sets direction and establishes performance goals communicating progress and addressing issues that impact service provided by the teams. 7. Establishes and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external customers. 8. Responsible for staying up to date on trends and developments within the functional area of accountability as well as the insurance industry. May perform additional duties as assigned. Reporting Relationship Director or above Skills, Knowledge & Abilities 1. Knowledge of the insurance industry, the company's products and the functional areas of accountability which may include Peoplsoft financials, IT support, accounting and other business services areas. 2. Ability to effectively lead and motivate others in accomplishing established goals. 3. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. 4. Strong project management, organizing and planning skills. 5. Strong verbal and written communication skills. 6. In-depth knowledge of the organization's strategies, goals, and functions and the ability to recognize and implement best practices. Education & Experience 1. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience. 2. Minimum of 8 years experience in a specific function or field of expertise, including 5 years management experience. Experience: 1.
