VP IT Infrastructure Services and Support VP IT Services and Support Infrastructure Reports to the SVP of Infrastructure and leads a team of 6 direct reports and staff of over 150 people.The VP IT Services and Support Infrastructure is responsible for providing overall leadership, management and direction for data center operations, help desk, network monitoring, print services, configuration management, asset management, capacity planning, and field support. Overall, charged to direct the development and implementation of strategic and operational objectives for CNA’s infrastructure support operations, in accordance with the company’s strategic plans while ensuring quality delivery of IT Service Management and Architecture. CNA’s Infrastructure consists of a mix of Mainframe, Unix and WinTel platforms operating in a highly virtualized configuration, multi-tiered 2PB storage environment, 8,000+ workstations and 2,000+ port data network. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Performs a combination of duties in accordance with departmental guidelines: Drives implementation of strategic and operational objectives with significant impact on the short-term success of IT and moderate impact on the long-term success of the company Oversees the development and execution of processes designed to proactively maintain infrastructure systems and services Oversees operations of data centers, distributed processing, and client server operations, including 24x7 operations of a state-of-the-art Tier 3 Data Center Reviews and provides feedback on status reports and metrics associated with measuring performance Ensures creation and delivery of accountabilities, goals and metrics by and from direct reports focusing on maximizing business value of products and services, while minimizing overall operational expenses Ensures production support team leadership is proactively establishing and executing processes focused on minimizing impact of operational failures on the business Establishes contracts for products and services with external vendors.Maintains good working relationships with strategic external partners and ensures delivery of contractual obligations Establishes the IT Services Delivery team and provides leadership necessary to ensure their success.Rewards their successes and takes appropriate action when repeated failures are not addressed Leads, directs, and has full management accountability for staff with an emphasis on talent management and succession planning in accordance with corporate strategic direction The VP IT Services and Support Infrastructure will be a “hands-on” leader/driver with a strong background dealing with complex enterprise level Infrastructure support and data center solutions issues across; the technical and non technical realms (relationship management, consulting and practice management).Further candidate must have a demonstrated success working in a matrix environment capable of functioning and adding value as a key member on the IT Leadership team.Tacitly candidate must have high quality leadership skills and a demonstrated executive presence. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree with Master’s preferred in a related discipline, or equivalent Typically a minimum of twelve years of related work experience with seven years management experience Applicable certifications preferred The successful candidate will have a minimum of 12 years of experience in progressive enterprise level IT Infrastructure and data center roles ideally within the environment of similar size and scope.Ideally, candidate should have experience working in a matrix environment capable of developing and fostering high quality relationships and communicating with all levels of the enterprise.
